At the start of every consultation we ask questions. Not just about what colours you like, and what worktops you would like. We try and find out a bit more about what your dream space would be like, and how you will use it, so it is perfect.

The client brief

“We’re a big family and we love to entertain. The new extension will house our new kitchen, which we would like to be modern with a breakfast bar, so guests or children can sit with us whilst we cook.”

JD Kitchen’s solution

The new extension gave us a wonderful blank canvas to work from, and make an amazing space for families who love to cook together. We knew the family wanted a breakfast bar, so we designed it as a feature of the kitchen. To avoid it appearing austere, we introduced different textures, which also helped to differentiate the cooking space. A clever use of colour and lighting also helped to create zones.
The customer selected the Schuller Unigloss door in magnolia and Bari door in smoked oak, finished with a Quartz Morell worktop with upstands, and a Quooker tap.
