The client brief

We’d love to modernise our home and transform the current separate dining room and kitchen into one beautiful open plan living space. We’d love a new kitchen with clean lines and a good amount of working surface area for food preparation and all the appliances integrated.

JD Kitchens Design Solution

We began by organising the structural work that was required. Walls needed to come out and the windows were changed to a beautiful bi-folding door to increase the light and open the room to the garden.

The open plan room was zoned to include a TV/media, kitchen and dining. The room design now has seamless integration, with a breakfast bar and a small dining area.

Clean lines were achieved with Schuller X2 Handle-less kitchen and quartz work surfaces with window sill.

Integrated Neff Appliances, Flex-induction hob, Slide and hide oven, combination microwave oven, integrated fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher. To maintain the sleek finish, the design lead to a flush-mounted ceiling extractor.

The whole project was managed well by Jason and completed quickly and efficiently. We weren’t the easiest customers, changing our minds frequently during the project, but this was handled well and with patience. Any minor problems we had were dealt with professionally and without hassle.
